Ms. Mathylde Frontus is the Founder and Executive Director of Urban Neighborhood Services.  A
long-time resident of Coney Island, Ms. Frontus holds a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Social Work
from New York University; Master's degrees in Psychology and Religious Studies from Columbia
University and Harvard University respectively; and is a current Ph.D. candidate in Social Policy and
Administration at the Columbia University School of Social Work, where she is working on her
dissertation entitled: "African Americans and Mental Health: Exploring the Role of Clergy in a Brooklyn
Neighborhood".  Ms. Frontus brings over ten years of experience in working with individuals, families
and groups in Brooklyn, New York and Boston, Massachussetts.









Elizabeth Flores is the Receptionist and Program Assistant at Urban Neighborhood Services and has been  
involved with the organization since July 2007 where she played a supportive role in the Summer Youth
Leadership Project. She provides administrative support at the office, assists walk-in patrons with all of
their inquiries, and is instrumental to the successful coordination of all of the organization's programs
and services.  Mrs. Flores has worked for the New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA) for over ten
years in the capacity of City Service Aide. She has been a Girls Scout leader for twenty years.

Marina Lane is a wife and mother who has been living in the Coney Island community for over a decade.  
In her own words:  
" In my search to do some meaningful volunteering, I discovered Urban Neighborhood Services. I value
organizations like this because there is always a time when people need help. UNS in such a place that
covers a range of services that are community-friendly. I am glad to be able to help in my small way."










Eveline Fequire has lived in the community with her children for over ten years. She is involved in a
number of community endeavors and is well-known by all.
